At Rhombus and Pineapple, it's all about paper. We are a paper-cutting studio in sunny Devon, specialising in bespoke design and witty typography.
Founded by fine artists Emily Powell and Grace Thomson, Rhombus and Pineapple is an award-winning paper cut and screen print studio. Since opening their gallery in 2014, Emily and Grace have gained international acclaim for honest and raw compositions that place the lexicon of the everyday in the sphere of contemporary art. In the first three years Rhombus and Pineapple has collaborated with MoMA, Guggenheim Museum, The British Museum and Harrods. The studio’s work also retails in permanent collections at the Glasgow Museum of Modern Art and the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art. Rhombus and Pineapple are working with Thames and Hudson on a collaboration to be published in 2018. The studio recently won the G F Smith Paperfest Award for Engaging Print in 2017, as adjudicated by designers at Waterstones, Selfridges and Heals. Rhombus and Pineapple is committed to work that takes the human condition as its subject, and playfully considers the experience of self and other through the politically charged lenses of social empowerment and liberation of thought.
